What Initiative Were Taken? : Sanitizer Preparation

Details : There is a growing demand for the Hand Sanitizers. Hence 6 Self Help Groups from 3 ALF were trained for preparing Hand Sanitizers. Training was imparted by the professors of Kanchmamunivar Government Institute of Post Graduate Studies and Research as per the guidelines issued by “World Health Organisation” on local production of Hand Sanitizers. So far about 525 ltrs of Sanitizers have been prepared and sold to the Government Departments and to the public at the rate Rs.80 per 200ml bottle. The Licensing Authority of the Department of Drugs Control has also issued approval to produce Hand Sanitizer till 30th June 2020 vide order no 3883/DDC/LA/ Hand Sanitizer. Outcome : In this Pandemic situation, there is a need to keep oneself clean by washing hands in order to safeguard ourselves from Covid-19. In order to overcome this situation, 6 SHGs were involved in preparation of Hand Sanitizer. Nearly 525 litres of hand sanitizers have been produced by our SHG members.
