What Initiative Were Taken? : Citizen led initiative for migrant workers and the needy in the fight against COVID-19 situation
Details : The foundation is helping migrant workers and needy people in the city. They responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by creating awareness about social distancing, handwashing and COVID-19 to more than 3000 labours in the city and distributed the masks to around 2000 labour. The foundation also has carried out fogging activities in labour colonies to sanitize their areas.
Outcome : Earthkids Humanity Foundation is working in Gandhinagar city during the COVID-19 pandemic situation and are helping the migrant workers and needy people in the city. They have explained to the labour the importance of the lockdown and have insisted them to not travel to their respective hometown which could lead to risking their own lives as well as their family’s life. This was in addition to their previous initiative of making Gandhinagar litter free with the help of ‘Green Warriors’ to include paanwala’s, chaiwala’s and autowala’s in their intitative as well.
