What Initiative Were Taken? : AWARENESS & PROVISIONING OF SAFETY GEARS TO SANITARY STAFF

Details : Awareness created to Sanitary Officer with all the concerned Ward Sr. Sanitary Inspectors, Sanitary Inspectors & Sanitary Staffs on taking self-protection measures against COVID-19 like mandatory wearing of masks, keeping safe distances with public and other staffs & wearing of gloves.

Outcome : Keeping in view of safeguarding Public in the larger interest of public health & public safety in order to prevent any outbreak of the disease in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and with the approval of Administrator, A&N Islands, the Secretary, Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) has decided to suspend the Sunday Farmer’s Market at Junglighat, Port Blair, All Parks under PBMC, All Markets, Children’s skating zones, Community Halls, Food Courts w.e.f midnight of 14.03.2020 till 26.03.2020 and same was extended till date.
