What Initiative Were Taken? : VEGETABLES/ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES
Details : 1. In wholesale vegetable markets we created special barricade compartments and also shifted
parking to other areas. With proper policing of those markets now social distancing is quite visible.
2. Besides that we started Vegetables on Wheels with e rickshaws and ALF members under NULM
which is getting good response in remote societies
3. Along with district administration, we convinced malls and whole sale provision stores for supply
of groceries at the door step, through smaller commercial vehicles. Those vehicles are tied up with
door to door garbage collection vehicles which keep on advertising through PA system
4. Tied up with District administration for passes to small Grocery stores,
Outcome : Essential commodities are being home delivered in Bhavnagar. This solves the issue of social distancing and also ensures that there is no dearth of essentials for citizens.
