What Initiative Were Taken? : Community kitchen initiative by Palakkad municipality

Details : Palakkad Municipality with the support from volunteers has started a Community Kitcpeople.Sarada Kalyan mandapam at Nurani where food will be prepared and home delivered to those under home quarantine and for needy people.This kitchen is purely run by the sponsorship mobilised by the ULB from various volunteers. The kitchen daily ensures to provide 3 times meals to around 250 migrant labourers and other needy who are staying in the municipal jurisdiction .The community hall where the community kitchen is presently running was given for free if cost by the owner.Apart from that all the materials required for running the kitchen has been mobilised through sponsorship from various volunteer

Outcome : Has benefitted the poor and needy , people in quarantine, migrant labourers in camps and people who are not able to cook food on their own
