What Initiative Were Taken? : Ummeed Ki Rasoi launched

Details : On August 27, 2020 Urban Livelihoods Mission, Delhi launched Ummeed Ki Rasoi- an initiative to employ women, especially cooks, who lost their jobs due to COVID-19. Under this programme, the women will prepare food at home and sell it at different stalls set up at Vasant Vihar, Delhi Cantt. and Chanakyapuri. The SHG women have been imparted training in handling finance, running a stall, and hygienic cooking by the professional chefs. They were sensitized on maintaining proper hygiene, serving food following social distancing norms, and wearing masks.

Outcome : To employ women, especially cooks, who lost their jobs due to COVID-19
