What Initiative Were Taken? : Shelters and relief camps for Homeless
Details : Amid of COVID19 Outbreak, National and State Level Lock down, MEPMA stregthened its 82 Permanent Shelter for Urban Homeless and establlished 129 temporary shelters to create roof over homeless, Migrant Workers from other States and people who stayed back due to unavailaibity of transportation across the State of Andhra Pradesh. Besides 82 Permanent Shelter for Urban Homeless functioning in 53 ULBs, MEPMA established 129 Temporary Shelters in convegnce with
District Officials concerned. The officials are considering Government Offices, School Buildings and Functional Halls that are vacant due to Lockdown and set up temporary Shelters and relief camps for Homeless and Migrants.
