What Initiative Were Taken? : Distribution of food kits to the poor and needy people

Details : The ward councillor of ward 49 in Palakkad municipality has initiated support to his ward members by providing them with free food kits containing vegetables, grains and rice for the poor and needy.It has benefitted around 180 families in his ward especially people living in SC colonies and deserving people among PMAY beneficiaries.It has been decided that kits will be provided during every fortnight to the residents of the area until the lock down is lifted

Outcome : Most of the people who are depending on daily wages and household works for their livelihood has not been able to continue with their work during the lock down period.Hence this initiative has helped the people of the ward to some extent
