What Initiative Were Taken? : Food for needy

Details : The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the life of people in Kochi. Several poor people , migrant labourers and vagabonds are affected by the crisis and the employees of Kochi Metro Rail Limited have joined hands to serve them. Employees of KMRL have raised fund and decided to distribute nearly 5000 food packets to those who are unable to access essential items. "The food packets are purchased from the Freedom Food Factory under the Jail Department. These packets will be handed over to Jamamaithri Police, Kalamassery. The police personnel will distribute the food packets to the needy." said MD KMRL Alkesh Kumar Sharma IAS.
