Details : Since the first report of Covid19 in Kerala, Kottayam Municipality has initiated precautions and preventive measures. Hon. The Chairperson called a Special Council meeting and planned the future event on 10/02/2020 regarding covid19. As part of 'Break the Chain' campaign, soap and water provided to the public places and institutions in Kottayam. Public places like cinema theaters, ATM, auditoriums, bus stand, cinema theater, market areas have been arranged to wash hands, total 425 places arranged for the same. An awareness campaign was arranged for the individual as a part of Covid19 in various ward of municipality total 43844 beneficiaries involved. Both North and South Kudumbashree Communi
